SimonB
I don't mind Bernie too much, he's a mercenary bugger but he's not in the same league of tosspotness (think that's a new word ) as Max Mosely.

Class One
Having never met the man personally it would be hard to comment. However, a former colleague of mine dated one of his daughters for about 2 years, and he is by all accounts a very generous man and a benefactor to a great deal of charities. His public persona may not appeal to most, but he is a shrewd and intelligent man and highly sucessful in both business and managed to bag a former Miss World! SimonB
Bernie should breed more daughters, beyond that he's annoying. That's true, his daughter is extremely fine. Makes you wonder if she's actually related to him, especially since she's about 3 feet taller...

RedM
It must be hard work dating that Ecclestone lass. You go back to hers to meet the parents and you'd be spending half the time wanting to punch the smug c**t and the other half wondering WTF that thing on his head is. Might be just me though. RobSheffield
Met him at Silverstone one year as he got out of a helicopter, most VIPs would at least say thanks or possibly have a laugh (even Schumacher!) but Bernie just walked through people. Maybe he just didn't see you, Rob. Especially if you were standing side on to him.
Gordon F
He sorted F1 out in the early 80's when it was about to implode and is now reaping the benefits. I'm not keen on his attitude to customer (viewer) satisfaction, and his total indifference to the guy who pays his money at the gate, but as long as people keep watching on the telly and turning up at the circuits, the longer he will keep coining it in. Rob
I recently read the autobiog of Prof. Syd Watkins and he said that Ecclestone was fundamental in the welfare of the drivers, and certainly pulled many strings to help the Prof improve the safety facilities at all the racetracks. Many years ago, I found out my dad's family lived in the same road as him. in Dartford.
