Steviekid
But does anone else have any tips ? When you're taking the old ones off, either buy a proper brake spanner or get a normal spanner and hit it sharpy with a hammer. DO NOT try and slowly undo them with lots of force as they will round off. You then have to hacksaw bits off and swear a lot.

flukey-lukey
make sure when bleeding the brakes that you don't overtighten the bleed nipple as they are very fragile. You'll end up with a big crack and brake fluid pissing all over your hands, then you'll have to buy a new caliper, fit it and rebleed the whole system again meaning your car will be off road for approx 2/3 days. Can you tell I'm talking from experience?
markrzs
Has it happened to you then Luke by any chance ?
flukey-lukey
Oh its funny you should ask Mark yes, just last month I put braided lines all around... ended up buying a second hand caliper from a scrapyard for £50 You have been warned! lol

Dave F
Did mine in a few hours mate no problems. Definately! use a brake spanner. A few people have had trouble with the pipe end being too flared after removing the old hose and a small file may be needed, I was lucky all mine were fine... Good luck matey
ultra_supra
think i'm gonna get phoenix to do mine in the new year - i'm usually alright with these kinda things but don't wanna run the risk with brakes....just incase!!!!

markrzs
bit of a daft question but....... if I take off the old brakes hose's to replace with the Goodrich hose's won't all the fluid pour out ? And i'd definatly need to bleed each of the brakes too ? Cheers Mark

ECK
once you have taken off the first brake line jam down the brake pedal with a bit wood or rod that way the fluid wont run out oh and remember to change the fluid too DOT 5.1 is the fluid you want alex

markrzs
I've fitted 3 hoses, going to do the other in a minute and then bleed the system! When I started to get the first flare nut off I thought, " What have I started ? " it would not budge ! but then got my trusty old mole grips out Mark
