Im having some serious issues with Admiral at the moment. So far they quoted that my twin turbo is only worth £1500 because its a mk3, i said no its a mark 4, then they said oops we made a mistake... but your car is still cheap cause its done 103k ... which it hasnt, its done 64k to which they said 'oops' then I get a letter saying my premium has gone up cause I changed my job so I owe them £30.. fair enough I said, but I havent changed my job in the last 3 years... no reply... then I get a bailifs letter telling me the insurance has been halted because I own them money... they finally cancelled that problem with no apology and I still dont have my car back after nearly 3 months.... I HATE ADMIRAL!

  • 3 weeks later...

Just re-newed my insurance with Admiral, but now I have 2 cars (if you can class a Metro as being a car) I have the Admiral Multicar policy.

My deal:

Car 1: 1994 Rover Metro 1.1 (worth £300 - or what ever)

I have insured it 3rd part fire and theft with mum as a named driver.

5000 miles per year.

£150 excess

No points or claims

Total: £201

Car 2: 1994 Supra Mkiv twin turbo Jspec

Fully Comp with mum as named driver

5000 miles per year

Declared Mods (body kit, exhaust, Alloys)

2 yrs no claims

no points or claims

£250 voluntary excess

Policy allows me to drive any other car 3rd party, and I get a courtesy car if involved in an accident.

£315 yr

Total : £506 for Supra fully comp and Metro 3rd party fire and theft. Both cars will build up No claims separately. If I claim on one of the cars it does not effect the other cars no claims!

It was around £750 just to insure my Supra alone last year - which was still the cheapest quote for me.

Im 26 years old, and yes they have insured it as a Mkiv and not a mark 3 :)

I insured my Supra with them last year as well, so whether that helped bring it down as well :search:
