Sparky
As the title says, im looking to do a budget TT engine transplant. Thats not to say i want the crappest engine and parts available, but my goal is complete a bpu TT engine conversion 'by' April 2008 for a good price! Ive talked to jezz and he can supply me with a good engine but does anyone else have one? What else do i need to complete this (I was hoping for the magic 400). Ive got money to spend i want to spend soon! Thanks

jim_supra
Check the for sale section, there is a TT engine for sale at the minute, but it does not come with much in the way of ancillaries. He was looking for £1500 iirc. I think personally Jezz is your best bet for the engine, as it will come with everything you need for the conversion. JODY T
Hve you thought about buying a blown one? Really cheap Then spending the money on rebuilding it... you get 'your' spec, and if build by a professional you will get warantee... Ive seen to many of these 'Good' second hand engines, that arnt actually Good.. But you cant tell iuntill its installed and running.... A bit late then! Unfortunatly ill be moving away next year so wont really have the time with police training to be rebuilding the engine. Its a shame because i wanted to do some internal work before i put the engine in to save time later down the road but i dont think it'll happen. JODY T
I understand, Its a shame though... Have you seen Matannas Aristo? That actually has an Interpro Engine, that was rebuilt, cost Matt 4K ish.... hes selling the CAR for 2.6K!!!!!!!! Almost worth buying the car, taking the engine and transplanting! What ever you do, make sure who ever you buy the 'Good' Engine from has a farily comprehensive warrantee.... Some dont even do a compression test! Its hard if you are removing an engine from a written off car, how can you say its good? by that i mean the history isnt known and u havent driven it on boost to check for smoke and or anything else!... I know it sounds like a downer but if she goes youll be
Sparky
Thaks for advise Jody. I'll probably get one from Jezz. I'd rather have one i can trust than one that'll blow up straight away!
