M4RK RZ
nice one mate - where did you get your de cat pipes and ring from?
wilkorangerover
:search:whifbitz........... seems to be only boosting at 0.9 bar for some reason
Homer
Just make sure it's not tee'd into the FPR pressure feed - you do not want that one leaking! If it has, slap the installer.
wilkorangerover
why is it only boosting 0-9 bar with a 1.2bar restrictor?
Big Mark
My car only boost 0.9 bar with full bpu and someone else told me his does the same.
Homer
Could be many things: - RR is not sized correctly - Wastegate spring issue - BC not set correctly (if you have one) - Gauge not reading correct - Boost leak etc
wilkorangerover
what shall i check first?
Homer
Just to make it clear: If you have a double decat, a 1.2bar RR and all other bpu mods made and you do not see at least 1.1 bar there is a problem. Especially at the air temps this time of year.
wilkorangerover
problem already... oh no!!!!!!!!!!
Homer
Who did the work on your car? What explaination did they give for the apparent low boost?
wilkorangerover
i did it........ its hits 0.6 bar straight away then , gradually gets to 0.9 at about 80 mph
Homer
Can you post a full and complete set of specifications on the car (EVERY modification). Also, what gear are you in when trying a full boost run.

Homer
As mentioned via PM. HKS FCD is not recommended. However, I doubt that is your issue

wilkorangerover
my fcd is not correctly installed.... the air pressure signal wire has not been cut!
Paul Whiffin
That wont effect the boost levels, it removes the fuel cut to allow you to boost higher. Try removing the restrictor ring and see what boost you hit then, be careful though!
wilkorangerover
it still maybe the boost gauge.......... the tee piece connection where is connects to BOV vacuum isnt the strongest as it easily pulls off even though its cabled tied....... i think it maybe weeping
