stupra
llanwrst in mid Wales? If you go any further north you will be in the sea. My partner's mum is from Llanwrst, although my partner was born in England. It's a beautifull place. Back on topic... I don't enjoy Christmas as much as I used to, it's not as magical as it used to be, and I don't think it's all down to me getting older. It's all about having the people you love around you, and i've had a few time's when i've been over sea's and not near the people that matter to me at that time of year. Make the most of Christmas I say, even if it has lost the sparkle a bit...
Guest CoolsBlue
i used to like christams loads, now its gotten boring, the day at home with family is nice, but to me christmas is the shopping and preparing also, its gotten crap around town and all. im not afraid to say this, risking a warning? but ive notcied since all these foreign workers have come in and 'complanied becase they dont celebrate it and all that shit' christmas been affected alot. guess its all about money, keep the people happy so they stay in the uk, and try rip us of left right and centre, on gifts, cards, toys, clothes...etc etc think ill stop, christmas was good at one point, guess its becuse i was alot younger at the time:D
creative
hate Christmas with a passion! I have always worked it due to living/working in the pub trade. My family don't really celebrate it and we all sit down and have a meal mid January as we are all in the pub/restaurant trade. The only part I look forward to is Xmas day and spending it with the missus. Its over priced, over commercialised, starts waaay too early. Bah humbug! Supragal
I do agree with this actually, it's not magic anymore, I think that stops when you are about 11!! But it's still nice to buy people stuff and get together with the family.
Pete
The secret to enjoying Christmas is to start buying presents early so as to avoid the whole financial issue and frantic buying stress. I started two months ago. This then leaves you with a nice Xmas pay check and a week off to enjoy parties and visiting friends without any worries. We're going to Rome this year too. Mrs H
I love Christmas, my tree is up on the 1st of December every year, we have a massive inflatable snow man in the front garden and lights all around the front of the house:d I hate it when the decs have to be taken down it looks so bare:( But the best bit about Christmas is watching my eldest son's little face light up on Christmas morning when he sees Father Christmas has been:p Vicki x
Guest mk47
So does anybody actually celebrate christmas for what it really is then other than presents and getting drunk
Ewen
On the plus side, I get to exchange bodily fluids and eat Xmas pud. Amazingly hard to tell apart these days I may add. The worst thing for me is a whole week away from work. I'm climbing the walls by Boxing Day. Sort of looking forward to grandkids so we can recapture some of the magic it had when our kids were little.

jefferson
the best bit about Christmas is watching my eldest son's little face light up on Christmas morning when he sees Father Christmas has been:p Vicki x this is exactly why xmas is special - here here vicki the worst thing is sales dont exist anymore - everything is overpriced and the only "bargains" are the garbage the shops need to clear out from clogging up the warehouse - so they double the price of it to then put it in a half price sale - at its original price - and worst of all we fall for it every year
