SupraStormRising
I suppose it's a wait and see the dark nothing of non-existence after death doesn't scare me we're born we live we die. However if your life is judged at the end now that is scary.... 'Sorry you only scored 30/100 for your life this way please'
marbleapple
My view is that since there is no evidence to prove or disprove it, I'll just have to wait and see. How can people make categorical statements either way when they don't know for 100% certain? As for big bang theory, I believe in that, but I also would point out that something has to have put the 'bits' there in the first place since nothing + nothing = nothing but the big bang implies nothing + nothing = 1. Anyone know who the philosopher was who did the opportunity cost calculation for believing and not believing in God? - Its a great theory and wanted to share it but I can't remember his name. bmx1lew
I personally was brought up as a Christian and my sister as a Catholic we both do not believe in God, after life, supreme beans, spirts or any thing like that, i feel its to hard to believe, to me it's nothing but fairy tales and story's, and after reading books on evolution i feel that science with facts is easier to believe then living a life that is uncontrolled, with a nothing more then a tale, god is a easy answer to questions that are minds are not capable of answering yet. after life is just the comfort zone for people who can't or don't want to believe there's a end without reason, accept life has no point. have a watch of this... http://zeitgeistmovie.com/ i recommed watching past the religious part aswell as there is lots of stuff that underminds the goverment, video has been banned in the past. Big bang theory has been superceeded by m-theory. It still encorporates a big bang within it but the maths they now use is able to go further back in time to before the big. Its obviously impossible to say with 100% accuracy what actually happened way back when... but 'they' keep inventing maths to fit certain equations and solve problems they haven't even thought of. Its way above my head. It is fair to say that the average human mind is not able to comprehend things on such a large scale as it is not a nautral thing, and something that has not been developed through evolution. ie. nobody can picture what infinity is. Its one of those things that gets used which I hate.... and they use it all the time in astophysics. eg. can there actually be an infinite amount of universes ? is that not just a simple way of saying "I haven't got a fooking clue?"
