MPH 07 - Anyone going?

Hi mate,

Went last year and the year before. It is good, but one of those 'once you've seen it once' events. Not many new cars on the podium this year I'd imagine that differ from last years spectacle. The show with Clarkson and co was good too, but again it would have to be vividly different for me to go along and pay to see it. Have a good time though. ;)

I've gone three times now. TBH last year's show was pretty poor because of Richard Hammond's non-attandance. Apparently they had to improvise at pratically the last minute (you can imagine how long these things take to put together) and they just cut-and-paste a load of items from the 2005 show into the 2006 event. This year they have made a point of saying that it is an all-new show. certainly the first two I went to were very different.

Most of the cars in the static displays come from prestige car rental companies who are there advertising themselves, but there is the occaisional proper engineering-y bit, like the Rausch stand.

I (obviously) think its worth going, as its that little bit different from other motor shows.

I've been two years running at the NEC and its entertaining for sure though it is a lot of prestige car rental firms as has been said. The autosport show at the NEC in the new year is defo the one to go for though ;)

Its just up the road for me so may well take a look and catch up with friends again.
