I have it, got it yesterday, people who pre-order the game got to DL the demo 24 hours before the public.

Graphics are very nice, probably the best I have ever seen yet.

I had my settings to very high in game for everything and at 1680x1050 res and it was playable. This is with my CPU overclocked but not my GFX. I installed the new nVidia beta driver that was recommended with Crysis and it took away my overclocking ability for the graphics. If I had the GFX overclocked then I think that would have given me at least another 10-15 fps easy so it would have been a bit better.

I turned it down to high for everything and flipped on 2xAA and it was much improved.

Gameplay is pretty cool.

I would take screen shots but fraps would not work with this game. probably because I am running the game with DX10.

My systems meat and potatoes:

2.4ghz Intel Dual core overclocked to 3.5Ghz (watercooled)

2 GB ram

8800 GTX (normally overclocked to 675mhz) (watercooled)

X-Fi Elite pro soundcard

Gamer what fps are you seeing?

Does it support SLI?

Downloading now

No idea on the FPS as I could not get fraps to run due to the version of fraps I have (v2.8.2) not working with DX10. I am installing the latest version (v2.9.2) of fraps now. hopefully that will work.

I can say that it was playable at the settings I used so that would lead me to believe that I was getting at least 30FPS.

As far as I know, SLI does not work yet but I should think that is just down to the beta drivers and hopefully nvidia will sort that out soon.

**Edit, some are able to use SLI. reading more about it now.

You can remove the annoying loading up videos (intel, nvidia, ea, etc) by going to your Crysis SP Demo installation folder, then into GAME, then into LOCALIZED, then into VIDEO and either renaming or deleting the .sfd files prefixed with 'trailer_" and the 'crytek.sfd' also (I made a backup folder and moved them into there).

Its hard for the demo not to be like FarCry though to be honest, tropical island setting, guns and bad guys.

On the plus side, the physics, AI, storyline and voice over/cut-scenes are better than FarCry, and it doesnt look as cartoony as FarCry (dont get me wrong - I love FarCry!).

On another note, has anyone tried killing an NK with a Hen yet? You can pick them up and throw them, but I havent yet tried killing someone with one.

Played about 30 mins of it today and am quite impressed so far, though as mentioned it does "look" very much like a suped up Far Cry in the Demo. The character details and real physics model work superb, will have to see it on a decent end system and DX10 to fully appeciate it I guess!

Due to the low system spec it will only run playable framerate under mostly low settings at 1024x786, but will run fine with AAx2 and medium texture and object detail.

Spec:

Athlon 64 3200

1GB PC 4200 ram (64 bit, not 128)

XFX 7600GTX XXX edition
