Supragal
Wow, I'm impressed Glad you've got it sussed. Indeed. Stupid thing was, I said the same and everyone told me to go away. There wasn't a lot of knowledge behind my theory but hey. Lucky guess. I did the same with the previous issue too
Supragal
Ok, so I drove it home last night and to work this morning. OMG it's AWFUL. It sounds like a chav boy racer has drilled holes in their escort exhaust. I am greatly ashamed. EAS are quoting £260+ VAT but there are like 4 different ones listed for that model and year, D'oh. Kranz
It may not be a sensor but may be an engine component or similar such as fuel pump, injectors, clogged cat etc. Aha!! I was right (along with my other guesses) LOL The melted cat can be caused by very retarded ignition timing or over fuelling, or a misfire.
