downimpact
As title the round thing attached by 6 nuts, does this matter if it's removed? Doesn't look to do anything but i can see bits are bolted together below it, anyone more knowledgeable? Thanks

downimpact
yes i was wondering if it really mattered if i removed it weighs half a kilo which may as well come out? Unless it has some other important purpose other than for the wheel to sit on?
michael
Couldn't you just have a smaller lunch and leave it on?
Soop Dogg
Well, your spare should be secured to it to stop it moving about. If you're that worried about shaving 1/2 a kilo(!) off the weight of the car, just go for a dump before driving it!
downimpact
Couldn't you just have a smaller lunch and leave it on? as much as i can (without ruining the interior) i want to get rid of.
downimpact
i've removed the spare already and un-necessary tools which weighed in a total of around 18kg's or something like
grahamc
You are better off removing weight from the front of the car, or moving weight to the back of the supra. At standard the weight is something 53/47%, so need more weight out of the front than the rear. Saying that, a carbon fibre bootlid and poly carbonate rear window would save a lot more weight G
downimpact
yep i was thinking that lovely battery that envy do weighing in at 5 kilos would be good, stock trac control can come out as well, i think i read it was 10kg's somewhere!
