JamesC
I've read contradicting threads on changing the rears to facelift lights. On my current pre-facelift lights it has the fog light mod. If i fit some facelift lights is it a simple plug and play task? Are the connectors the same and will the fog light still work? Cheers
michael
Depends where the fog light mod has been done, when you fit the newer lights you'll also replace the looms, most conversions are done on the loom so you might have to transfer this over to the new one. It's plug and play otherwise.
JamesC
Cheers Michael. Its sounding comlicated already! The mod would have been done by the garage i bought the car from as it was a fresh import when i got it. I'll have to have a look before i put my hand in my pocket i think! Do the looms come with the facelift lights or do you have to buy these seperately?
michael
They usually come with the lights but you can buy them separately too. Should be easy enough to just have them side by side and swap the fog conversion over but having said this I've had my fog conversion kit sat in an envelope for over a year. The Restorer
When I fitted my facelifts (36 months after I had bought them), I used a foglight mod kit from Emin, SupraMyster I think is his username. Under £20 and made it a doddle. I don't know why I put it off for so long!
Supranature
Mines got the shite jap import red blob on the back. Any traders sell the conversion and do I need to buy UK rears?
