NA Power steering pump same as TT?

er it doesn't look likely!

reservoir on an NA pretty much sits on top of the pump (almost like its integrated with it), and is not mounted to the inner wing.

Difficult to be 100% as the reservoir on the NA could feasibly mount on the same opening as the large bore pipe that exits the same area and leads to the reservoir on a TT.

I'll try and find some NA engine bay shots to help out......

The part no.s for the NA and TT pump assemblies are different, as the NA has the reservoir attached, the TT has it mounted on the wing.

I think that some of the parts of the actual pump are the same for both, but not all are common. It's probably easiest if you grab a TT pump, unless you're up for stripping it down!

Thanks Chris, I'm still trying to establish exactly where the noise is coming from.

I thought it was the PS pump but I'm beginning to suspect the noise is coming from the pully/pump that is directly below the PS pump.

I know it's a stupid question but what is that one?

The power steering pump is the top one, nearest the battery, right? What does that one do? It seems to have some sort of clutch, ie it can free-wheel

Jake, take the belt off and start the engine, don't run itfor long though as there will be no coolant flow. 3 minutes at most. See if the noise has gone. Could be the belt itself is noisy, some makes don't "get on" with the 2JZ-GTE engine and make terrible noises. Try a gates one if you think it is the belt itself. To test the belt spray the belt with WD40 with engine idling. If noise immediately goes it's the belt.

Well the power steering pump has completely seized up now and of course the car is undriveable.

I have a good used TT pump for sale here.
Do you still have this available please Chris? Can you let me know a price including carriage?

Thanks
