Ady
im going for a few hours on sat. Gona pick some fresh lug and rag on sat morning, then head off to a hot spot of mine for 3/4 pm. Low water is at 5:35 - so prefect times as it will just be gettin dark! Gona go after some cod - some pretty huge ones being caught in the menai streights up here. Also gona take a selection of rods and some lures, have a new black jelly i wana try out on the see bass! I supose living on an island has its good advantages, miles of coast all arround us :p

tooquicktostop
Went on a team building fishing trip a few weeks ago, 10 of us on two boats compeating against each other on weight caught, just off the coast of portsmouth, the wind was up and the sea very rough, I was fine as it happens and really enjoyed it but for those that got sea sick 5 hours on a boat that will not return to shore to drop you off turned out to be a nightmare for a few, I really felt sorry for them especially whan we started eating crab sandwiches, drinking beer and chopping up mackeral for bait

hoff
My sisters boyfriend went with some off his mates. They loved it. Nice day, on a boat and getting pissed all day. If the sea isn't too choppy, it sounds good to me.

bigcol
ive given up hope of ever catching anything within 2 miles of the shore except flu, turds, used condoms , sanitry pads and the occasional plaice, went "proper" fishing in Cuba in July and what a difference that makes 8lb mackarel, 6lb mackarel and a 26lb barraccuda i highly recommend it
