Lbm
Ok Iv'e got a '93 TT 6-speed J-spec, non BPU. (aftermarket zorst & airfilter) Filled up - £60 ish... I live in Waford, did a run up to Derby @ 60 leps (), with one passenger and a car full of music gear - Bass amp , cab , guitar, stage lighting set...etc etc (inc. singer's make up bag and costumes...jesus!) 300miles there and back. Then unloaded and 2 days later, round trip Watford-Wimbledon including chasing F430 up the A3 (HE WAS BEING A GAYLORD...BECAUSE I KEPT UP) 90 miles + 30 miles drivng her to..well anywhere... 430 miles in total... Any takers? Or should I drive immediately over beachy head for this kind of poor news reporting behaviour?

Mike B
you have cheap fuel, or a smaller tank.. i can squeeze 80 quid in mine. I'd be stunned to go as far as you though. I tried it once ant got around 33mpg at 70. I had 90 miles out of 70 quid at marham.
DaveSupTT
I get on average 225miles from £60 and thats not putting my foot down!
SMiFFAD
I managed 300 miles on about £60 last week.... cruise control limited to 66mph is a god send on long journies if you want to save some fuel Normally just about crack 200, but that includes a lot of town driving to work. Jamesy
Filled up - £60 ish... 430 miles in total... Thats good mate - roughly 14p a mile. I can do the same in my Jspec TT on a motorway @ 70mph too...its just when you go round town it doesnt stay that low on pence per mile!!! Your getting near enough 200 more miles than me, makes me VERY jealous : I think my o2 sensor may need replacing as i think its running a bit lean but still, 200 miles more than me! Gaz6002
I once drove back from the Nurburging on 3/4 of a tank. I've also done 190km to a tank of optimax. Cars are fun.
