Angarak
Hi Ho, Was just curious if anyone has recently had a quote or better yet a renewal from Lancaster Insurance, and if so has your quote gone up quite a bit? I'd have hoped that being a year older (hit the big 30!) and having another years NCB with a limited mileage classic policy would result in a similar price (if not better) than last renewal, not an increase of over £150! I was paying less when I first bought the Supra over 2 years ago - with 0 NCB and more mods than I currently have now! Needless to say Im window shopping for insurance at the moment. Like I said, Im just curious to know if anyone else has experience something similar with Lancaster Insurance recently.
cheekymonkey
I looked at Lancaster insurance some time ago and they didn't seem to cover *any* turbo cars! I've used them before though, on a 4.0l jaguar and the premium was really good. Under £200.
carl0s
I'm afraid it's pretty simple. One of the ways insurance companies look to develop their business includes "growth from existing customers", which could in some cases mean selling additional products to existing customers, but in the case of car insurance it most likely means increasing premiums... I'm sure if you said you were about to leave, you could get it at the same price as last year. I should imagine they just try it on with everybody. Konrad
I tried my local insurance agency today. Last year I was 29 with 4 years of no claim and paid 730 pounds for my NA. This year they quoted me for 950 pounds lol! I called A-plan, the branch Homer was advising in Jazz's post and got 640 pounds/year, with 350 excess, 60 on windscreen etc. So I went with them this time
