bigcol
Hi folks Just had a big email from the bosses at work of a new computer virus that started to circulate late saturday afternoon. I got the details from a good fiend of mine in AOL security, the virus is very nasty and aol's antivirus, norton and microsoft cannot touch it at present. It was created by a hacker calling himself "life owner" and it comes in the form of an email called "life is beautiful" if you open it you get the message "its too late now, you life is no longer beautiful" you then lose EVERYTHING on your pc and the person who sent it gets access to you name, password, email account etc etc so if you get it JUST DELETE IT. Just thought you would like to know folks:d
ivan
Yet another hoax. I do hope you didn't email this to all your friends... http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2002-011511-0444-99&tabid=

DamanC
Its like 99.9% of the others that you get emailed, a HOAX
Guigsy
simple fact is that an email cant jsut aquire your passwords and then delete everything on your pc unless you type them all in for it and then format C: because the email asks you to nicely. Email your boss, tell him he is an idiot. The email also says a lot about the brain power of the people in AOL security
Max Headroom
Surely as a hoax its the same as a virus, reaching everyones mailbox?
JustGav
My dad got one of these forwarded from an 'IT' friend of his, and being pc-illiterate followed the instructions to the letter... He has since not done anything similar unless speaking to me first.... The human factor is more dangerous than any virus out there..

Oh and send him the link so he can check there next time he thinks he's being helpful.
