More Power Please

My boost gauge never goes past 0.9 bar.

If I made the hole in my restrictor ring larger could I achieve 1.2?

My FCD is not yet fitted (came in a box with the car) but I've only ever felt the fuel cut once at about 140 leptons, other than that never,

Obviously I'd fit it before going for more boost.

So will a bigger hole help or do I need boost controller?

If you are going to run 1.2bar i would have a BPU upgrade done by a reputable garage, you would not be wise to just open up the hole in the restrictor ring as it gives you no control, the risk of the turbos going pop will be much higher at 1.2bar, how healthy is your engine (how many miles, service history, intercooler condition) what about fuel pump when was it last changed, fuel filter the same

Sorry to sound a bit negative but you really need to do these things properly if you want to avoid some of the risks, and yes I know how it feels to push a car too hard and loose an engine, its not funny or cheap:)

This car is my Ex car and it is full BPU, even his IK24 plugs in it. The RR is a 1.2 bar as I measured it up against a Chris Wilson 1 bar RR, and the hole is larger than a 1 bar RR. The only route Mark is a Boost Controller to up the boost to 1.2 bar.

Is the joins in the decats sealed up as I always suffered from leaking joints.

Hi Mark,

The exhaust was too low for me to even get into my drive without scraping so I took it into RS Fabrications here in town and we spent 5 hourrs cutting the exhaust up and fitting it bit by bit. We ground all the faces flat. The exhaust is a perfect fit now.

Serviced it this week too. So it has new IK24 plugs, new oil & filter and coolant.

I'll treat it to a boost controller for xmas then.
