SimonB
All stick on plates are illegal, but you're very unlikely to be done for it. I got mine from GT graphix here: http://www.gtgrafix.com
flukey-lukey
I had one on mine not so long ago and all I can say is make sure you're planning on keeping it on, they're a bitch to peel off and leave loads of sticky crap behind them

flukey-lukey
to get off all the crap use cif trust me it works Too late now! Its been off the car for a month or so. In the end I used 'sticky stuff remover' from halfrauds which doesn't really do what it says on the tin tbh lol

Did you use a hair dryer to warm it up before peeling? Thats what I was going to do
SMiFFAD
Just be aware that all police forces are cracking down on number plate size, IE anything that isnt regulations billboard size.... they even complain abotu import plates. Ive been running a small plate for years and got tugged twice last week for it, in two different counties Its due to all the number plate reading technologies having problems with them. I am guessing they are in the initial stage of this, as both times i got away with a "reccomendation" to change it, sure they will start issuing on the spot fines soon enough. fri3ndly
I thought number plate size was fine as long as the letters/numbers were legal size & font?
SMiFFAD
I thought number plate size was fine as long as the letters/numbers were legal size & font? Whats technically legal and what policeman think are two separate issues. At the end of the day its hassle, which is why ive put my full size plate back on
Cass
I just took mine off to put on a differant bumper, but heated it up with the wifes hair dryer and it came off a treat
Lucas
I got my sticker numer plate made up by http://www.skewer.co.uk/ Reflective and with sizing and correct lettering
SupraJames
I have had a few issues with plates, and a couple of fines, but running the Trial rear and the smaller plate I have been fine so far. But as Smiffad said its usually down to the police person and their mood at the time that dictates how they treat you.
fri3ndly
If I do decide to keep the normal sized plate as a sticker, do you think it will be OK to stick it on the bottom of the VS bumper (facing up)?
flukey-lukey
Did you use a hair dryer to warm it up before peeling? Thats what I was going to do Yep I used a heat gun and warmed it up which made it a bit easier If I do decide to keep the normal sized plate as a sticker, do you think it will be OK to stick it on the bottom of the VS bumper (facing up)? I think you might still have problems with that idea, as number plates are supposed to face forwards. As people have said before, depends on the mood of the copper
