R3DG3CKO ROB Posted October 24, 2007 Author Share Posted October 24, 2007 The bonnet is carbon and it's got a twist to it so the off side sits high and looks rubbish... I just don't trust the catches to hold... Have a look at the top picture in my garage, you can see what I mean I've tried everything to try and get it flush but there's always a gap... Its up to you but the fitting of these catches will not be easy at all, but they will do the job and definately hold the bonnet down, you can still use the original catch aswel......... M4RK RZ Posted October 24, 2007 Share Posted October 24, 2007 You will be able to do it mate Mount one in the position you want it - then take a piece of card and template it from the hole you just made. Bought the bonnet from a friend who had 2 clips on it already, it sat funny on his car aswell. Id rather 4 clips than a bonnet in the ditch thou ! flukey-lukey Posted October 24, 2007 Share Posted October 24, 2007 I have a pair of those flush locking aero catches, not fitted them yet though! I'm in two minds whether to let the body shop do it when I have my new bonnet painted. They quoted £100 to fit them and says its about a 4 hour job.
