kieren1234
First of all, why doesn't you're bonnet close properly?? Aftermarket.......carbon etc
Gaz Walker
We sell them, they are a pain to fit, Kieren has asked a valid question though, its interesting why it doesn't close at the moment. Regards, Gaz.
kieren1234
Thats why i asked because i know whtey are an absolute PITA to fit. and to make it simetrical (spelling) aswel. Might not be worth the hassle if the bonnet can be sorted.
R3DG3CKO ROB
The bonnet is carbon and it's got a twist to it so the off side sits high and looks rubbish... I just don't trust the catches to hold... Have a look at the top picture in my garage, you can see what I mean I've tried everything to try and get it flush but there's always a gap... kieren1234
It is a shame about the fit because that is a really nice bonnet. Its up to you but the fitting of these catches will not be easy at all, but they will do the job and definately hold the bonnet down, you can still use the original catch aswel......... R3DG3CKO ROB
Don't know what else to do as it flexes quite a lot at high speed and I want to use the car on track next year... The garage that fitted the bonnet have said they'll fit the catches but I'm a bit miffed that I've got to resort to stuff like this anyway
Supra-Dupra
I fitted em on my old supra I have a piccy here, I thought they looked good aswell ! I had the same problem with both cars rising with the bonnets rising.
kieren1234
Why did you have 4 on the bonnet, looks wierd.
M4RK RZ
You will be able to do it mate Mount one in the position you want it - then take a piece of card and template it from the hole you just made. Turn the card over to mirror the exact position to other side of bonnet. I think they look great !
Supra-Dupra
Why did you have 4 on the bonnet, looks wierd. Bought the bonnet from a friend who had 2 clips on it already, it sat funny on his car aswell. Id rather 4 clips than a bonnet in the ditch thou ! I thought it looked good, and it got quite alot of compliments !

Each to their own, i dont dislike it, its just something i hav'nt seen before but like you say, they served a purpose in keeping the bonnet on
neil tt
The one you have posted a picture of are the harder ones to fit, they supply one that fits from the top and is much easier to fit:)
flukey-lukey
I have a pair of those flush locking aero catches, not fitted them yet though! I'm in two minds whether to let the body shop do it when I have my new bonnet painted. They quoted £100 to fit them and says its about a 4 hour job. The catches do come with a good set of instructions and cardboard template if you decide to fit them yourself. Let us know how it goes
R3DG3CKO ROB
Yeah, realised they're the wrong ones I don't think I'll attempt it my self cos if it goes wrong I'm screwed...

neil tt
I must admit its not something I would want to do again, mine was on a carbon bonnet so resonable easy, but a nightmare to mark:)
