Can anyone on here write Hiragana?

I'm learning Hiragana and while I can remember them easily enough by sight I can't seem to find a way of remembering how to write each one.

 

ie. which stroke comes first and what sort of stroke it is (haneru, tomeru, nagasu).

 

Do we have any westerners on here that have learnt it in later life rather than being Japanese and learning it at school?

I just tried, and yes I can write "Hiragana"... there, I can also type it too.

shows the actual sequence of brush strokes in animation and also has audibles. covers Hiragana and Katakana as well as Kanji

 

i use this site quite a bit over the last few years

Hiragana/katakana is a breeze compared to Kanji, I started learning it a few years ago, but gave up and married a Japanese lass. Now just write in Romaji (phonic Japanese)

We are learning very little Romaji. Year two is Hiragana and English plus starting on Katakana
