RedM
I'm learning Hiragana and while I can remember them easily enough by sight I can't seem to find a way of remembering how to write each one. ie. which stroke comes first and what sort of stroke it is (haneru, tomeru, nagasu). Do we have any westerners on here that have learnt it in later life rather than being Japanese and learning it at school?

b_have
Hiragana/katakana is a breeze compared to Kanji, I started learning it a few years ago, but gave up and married a Japanese lass. Now just write in Romaji (phonic Japanese) Damare (Jp for 'shut it')
