dwayne
i just encountered the same problem. i am sure it can be taken out without removing the screen, there is a thread on here somewhere that confirms it. if your screen is taken out make sure they look after the clips under the bonnet that holds the rubber strip down because the gits broke half of mine when they replaced it! JamesG
Well the edge above the windscreen does, at least. Mine had to be stuck down again a couple of weeks after the windscreen was replaced.
fastnfurious
i'm planning to replace the front windscreen rubber seal, must i remove the windscreen for this job?
Kopite
I've replaced mine in the past but it was a right pain getting it to stay sealed down. Kept coming off at speed.

Westy
Would have thought this would have come out as to do a full re-spray 100%!?
Kirk
These seals are meant to be fitted before the screen not after! To renew it properly the screen must come out!
L18msy
These seals are meant to be fitted before the screen not after! To renew it properly the screen must come out! +1. I ripped mine removing the screen for the respray and had to replace it onto the window before refitting.
RobUK
I kept my Windscreen in and taped the rubber seals back. It still allows for the car to be painted properly though
Spunkmeyer
Hi - jumping in here, mine just snapped the bung at the bottom on the drivers side, it flicked up and flapped around. As is my usual trick I checked with Toyota (so that I can gauge a rip off against the next best thing to do) they are quoting £170! To bond a whole new seal Now the strip has come off up to just before the bend for the top of the windscreen. Can I not just silicone it back down? Or is this a bit daft? I don't know if the silicone will prevent a new screen fitting if I ever need one? Any ideas? Cheers
