Gaz6002
They'll only pay out their "market value" in the avent of an accident...so be realistic with your value. In the meantime... Insured with these for last 8 years... Quoteline Direct: 0870 442 9527 No they won't. If it's an agreed value they will pay whats agreed. Gazboy
iv been telling the companies the value of my car is 12k but if i say its less will i get a cheaper quote? No. The main risk in your case is a young inexperianced lad in a high power rwd heavy car, what they are actually risking you against is the damage you do WITH your car, not TO your car. Check your third party liability cover limit, iirc it'll be up around £750k. I can't remember mine for either car but my dogs' TP cover is £1m for a £300fc policy yet the dog would only cost £500 as a pup to replace. Pig
Went through exactly the same thing as you jazz. Ended up with A plan paying through the nose and then once i had more experience its came down to a realistic price. 22 - 2 yrs N/C - 6 points - T61 500bhp - no agreed value - 1241 - 7000 miles a year (will be lucky if i do 2000) P.S - Tried all the traders policies too but no luck as they have age restrictions. Havard
AON may be worth a call Jazz! They "prefer" older drivers but I am on a 5k miles limited policy with 0 no claims, 32 years of age! £389 for an NA valued at 5k. 01384 552670..... H. SupraD06
Be VERY careful with Elephant, they do not like mods and DO NOT insure cars with aftermarket BOV - or cars with more than 6 modifications. Total loss payout tends to be terrible too. I didnt know they didnt allow aftermarket BOV, ive told them about bodykit, airfilter, alloys and exhaust and intercooler but the rest of the stuff to make bpu i.e fuel pump and boost controller, oh and my turbo timer i didnt mention as i didnt think this would make a difference. do i need to tell them about these then???????
