heartworm
Big hole in the inside tyre wall on my front left, horribly veered left suddenly, really frustrating as the tyers are only 7-800 miles old, should I get a new front pair, or will it be ok running just one new one? Guest mk47
youd be way better off replacing both otherwise you're gonna have uneven wear on tyres = not good.. really shitty though when stuff like that happens.

I already have a spare sitting around from when they were replaced last time, going to end up with tons. Weird place for a hole though, id understand the outside wall but not really the inside. That's not a lot of wear, and it's the front tyre anyway. Personally, I'd just replace the one that burst.
CarlT67
In my opinion you will be fine just to replace the one as you will always get differences on wear in front tyres due to the pounding of roundabouts. Plus 700 miles of wear on normal driving shouldn't be too hard...!
SimonB
Yeah, just change the one. I'd get them to send the burst one back to the manufacturer to check too if it's blown out for no apparent reason. I got a credit for the value of the tyre once when I had a dodgy tyre that wouldn't balance up properly.

JamesG
Bloody heck mate how wide are you rear tyres if your running 335 on the fronts. Just a single tyre needed for the rear. A Michelin Pilot "Steam Roller"
heartworm
Just a single tyre needed for the rear. A Michelin Pilot "Steam Roller" Would 235 make more sense? ill check in the morning once its not cold and wet outside. Garage said they would send it back for me as they thought it was odd too. Personally, I'd just replace the one that burst. the other one must be as new with that amount of miles on it. i would also go back to the tyre shop who sold them to you. I had a split in the side wall recently, so i took it back to the tyre place and they have sent it back to the manufacturer for testing, them it will be replaced under warrenty if they find it was faulty
