razza Posted October 20, 2007 Share Posted October 20, 2007 Went for a sprited drive and lost concentration of what gear I was in, the revs bounced off the limiter and at the same time I heard a pop from the exhaust end of car (although not too disimilar from what I've heard from the exhaust before when revving the engine), and also felt like it was braking - kind of juddered. This obviously got my attention, so I whacked it up a gear and drove home. Popped the bonnet and it sounded like it was running fine and sounded normal Q's: 1) Does this sound normal for the revs limiter? 2) What damage could this cause? 3) Why do I get so distracted when giving it the boot:rolleyes: It's an auto by the way.
