JustGav
As you reckon your such a techy expert you can calculate 850's on a 87% duty cycle, and you may get an idea of how it now goes. What fuel pressure?
Suprash
Just cause you dont have a Supra, dont come on here and play the smart ass with me. I asked a simple question, as I was told it was a "proper build by an expert". I just want to know who the expert is. Seems a lot of experts worked on this car. and coming from soneone who described it as an excellent car, that shows mw how little you know. I have had to repair/replace/improve almost every part of this car front front to rear due to shabby work. Its almost finished, but still some corrections to be done. I dont give a fiddlers who gets offended when I talk about MY car, remember its not yours! it MINE. I trusted a certain person I had got to know over 2 years, and he stiched me. If I couldnt afford to put it right then I would really have gone to town on him, but we arnt talking big money here so he can live with his own concience. Now i have a damm fast car that looks a million dollars, and will only get better with a few "firsts" in its spec. I have the whole winter to further develop it into an even better car, and thats just what I'll do. As you reckon your such a techy expert you can calculate 850's on a 87% duty cycle, and you may get an idea of how it now goes. Everytime I mention this car's history YOU come on and make it worse for he who sold me it. It's obviously a bigger deal for you than me. Keep dreaming Alex someday you might have a well sorted Supra. Sorry to hear that you have had the wool pulled over your eyes. All my intercooler work and hyrbid work that was done by Dude has been replaced over 2 years........so that was £1700 down the pan at the time......its a shame this keeps happening, wish people could be more honest......still I like to believe what goes around, comes around, circumstances seem to show that as well if you think about.... Alex
FFS Ash, you don't have half the facts, so don't compare this situation with yours. CG bought a car without seeing or driving it and then complained after he drove it in a manner that was strictly not recommened by the seller. The guy that built the engine wasn't Dude so don't start bringing him into this. CG likes to stir and shit on everyone as he sees fit. It's boring and transparent. Terminator
OK this may be a really dumb question, but I have to ask! With so many things said to be wrong with the car and from the sound of it, nearly everything having to be replaced, why the hell did you buy it? Surely it is a basic thing to check out a car before you buy. Even my pensioner mother has the sense to get one of the family, who knows about cars, to go and check out a car with her. I thought it was pretty basic knowledge, that cars are bought as seen. Some of the questions you are asking, surely should have been asked before buying. It is a bit late to be seeking the information you are after now.
RedM
If Ernie hadn't bought the car then he wouldn't be able to play the poor victim card to gain some sympathy and goodwill after his spate of threats and abuse and his high profile flounce. It's either that or Karma.
Gazboy
I got bored waiting for the pictures of the paintjob so bit the bullet and the car is getting resprayed as we speak Ernie.
Chiefgroover
he drove it in a manner that was strictly not recommened by the seller. QUOTE] Once again your taking crap about something you know nothing about. Give it a break Alex, your leaning on one side of a story. The only thing i did on the way home was a quick blast in 5th and a little of 6th. That was it. So are you telling me its not fit for that? How about the previous owner who broke a drive shaft and marked the tunnel doing a 1/4 mile and left the gearbox with a noisey back bearing. I DONT 1/4 MILE IT ! and thats the hardest thing on a Supra. This crying match about a quick high speed run on a motorway is just a gay attempt to shift blame. O dear, I did a track day today, does that mean the car is now ruined? IF you had been with me as i stripped and rebuilt this car you would not have condoned the work done, unless your standards are very very low, and i dont think they are. I have improved this car beyond belief. All I wanted to know is who built it? Ash your totally right, there are too many hatchet men in the car trade doing shabby work destroying good cars.
