colsoop
Following on from this thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=128124 I was wondering what is the worst job you have had to do to earn money. Mine was working in a chocolate / sweet factory one of the tasks they made me do was to blow up the inflatable legs on chicken backpacks for the chicken run movie How about you ? Scoboblio
Putting junk mail leaflets into magazines, and selotaping CDs to the front. We got paid by the thousand, meaning if you worked really hard, you could usually take home about a pound an hour. Think I lasted about a month. Class One
Kicking in the doors to residential properties to discover the body of a deceased person that's been in situ for maybe 4 or 5 weeks during the summer. And then having to move them to check if the body has any obvious injuries that would make the death seem suspicious. Going to fatal road trafic collisons. Going to a suicide where a bloke jumped off the 22nd floor of a hotel and "burst" on impact. Ladbroke Grove Train crash. Oh and when I was 16, I worked for Ideal Toys on the assembly line making Cabbage Patch Dolls, that was hell.
Terminator
Those make every thing else seem a joy in comparison. I guess nothing can prepare you for dealing with grizzly deaths. My worst was cleaning out a chicken barn.

Jake
Chipping the slag off the inside walls of an aluminium smelting furnace with a hammer and chisel. It was physically hard work. It was bloody hot because furnaces are very well insulated and take days to cool down but the downtime is losing a lot of money so you have to get in there ASAP. There's very little room to move. You can't stand up. It's about the size of the interior of a small car but with brick hard very rough surfaces. But the worst thine was the constant fear someone will forget you're in there, shut the door and fire it up.
Missile
Mac D's. Lasted less than a month. Worst job there was cleaning out the waste greese shoot, Three months of blocked up fat and grim all over flowed due to local flooding. The smell made you reach. Nasty Nasty. Big Mark
I worked as a financial consultant in London straight after I finished my degree. They sucked you in through the interview stages only revealing the pay at the very last stage. Job title sounds good but it was commission only working with loads of bulls**ters & wa**ers, it took a couple of months to get qualified which is no good when you have no basic salary. It was so shoddy, my boss even told me to open new bank accounts to get interest free overdraft facilites to 'tied me over'. I left in the 3rd month and have a deep seated hatred & loathing for sales people now. Which is great fun whenever one knocks on my door, rings me at home or bugs me in a shop.
