Cable
i agree i have but it's be cause i simply cannot see how no one else notices how jaggard lines are on the ps3 and it has been same as the 1st and 2nd and again on the second compare it to the xbox the xbox pull out smoother and more solid looking colours. seriously it isn't at all as bad as you make out. Maybe sony should make everything look soft and foggy like the 360 does

The games I tested were Test drive on the 360 and the Gran Turismo demo on the PS3. Both were done on my sony bravia to make it fair and both were running at the same time, just changing the channels between the two. The Test drive game I found did have 'jagged' lines as you put it, as noticeable if not worse than those on the PS3 GT. The colours on GT were also much better and brigther than those on Test drive. This is not a 'diss' of the Test drive as I thought and still do think it is a very good game. I will now have go on a few more games. I just wish I had a copy of rainbow six on the PS3 so I can do a comparison against my 360 version.
Snooze
To be honest, I think you'll find the presence (or absence) of jagged lines is also down to the games developers themselves. Especially with the PS3, the developers have access at a low enough level to take quite a bit of control of the GPU hardware. Oh - by the way - Rainbow 6 is one of the games that was cited as only playing at 720p, not 1080, so make sure you let your TV do the scaling! Daston
The ATI card in the 360 isnt as advanced as the Nvidia card found in the PS3 the PS3 can hand AA better than the 360. If you want proof have you not seen sonys game of spot the difference using real life photos and the GT5 engine?

Snooze
To be honest, the difference in graphical capabilities is so negligible that surely other features like the prospective quality of gameplay of available games is far more important? I understand that the XBox may have a headstart in this regard, as they have made the 360 easy to program (in fact, the very first presentations of the new console were targetted at prospective games developers, NOT at consumers) - as a result a number of games developers signed up to exclusivity deals with MS, I believe? Daston
The real question you need to ask is what do you want it to do? People who have a PC that will run games tend to go for the PS3 as it has different games and all the MS games hit PC at somepoint Those people who want to play PC games but are unable to afford a gaming rig get a 360. The thing with the 360 is they no longer have any Xbox only games where as the PS3 has games that will only ever be on the PS3
bmx1lew
to be honest my biggest off put on the ps3 is the controle pad, its a 50/50 on it, people will say sony kept there controle pad the same because if its not broken why fix it?, however me and many others i have found have said the anolog sticks are uncomfortable to use aswell as the top l1 r1 buttons, which i agree with, the new version of the pad feels cheap and the the top trigger buttons are now worse then they were befor, thats my opinion, the xbox360 pad is so nice to use (but i loved the dreamcast pad which is similer), my only fault with that is the anolog sticks loosen up over time and then become too sensative. edd_t
(but i loved the dreamcast pad which is similer), . oh yes, bring back the Dreamcast pad, that thing was ace. 360 all the way for me, i just prefer the games that are available, plus the online content seems much better. not to botherd about which has better graphics etc, as far as im concerned it the gameplay that makes a game, not graphics, I still love picking up the old classics on my old consoles. edit: (bummers i just noticed i passed 7000 posts without realising)

tbourner
I hated Mario Kart 64, it ruined Super Mario Kart with its 3d nonsense!! Goldeneye was the only good game on that console (quite liked the control pad on the N64 now I think about it).

bmx1lew
golden eye what a great game... one of my arguments with halo, loads of people tell me halo is amazing.. but after playing many games from golden eye, battle field, call of duty, halo is nothing new or special to me, i have played all 3 and dont get what is good about it, golden eye for the win, i was lead to believe it was going to be remade, same with FF7 ????? dream cast , shemu, jet set radio, sonic 3d or what ever they were called (loads of people hated them to me they were the best ones!), sole caliber, power stone 1 and 2, metropolis street racer, phantasy star online (noling people lol )... thoes were the good old days i wish sega could make a console come back.
