dibbleyuk
I wanted another one of these little car for ages just as a run around they are fun to drive and pretty nippy. Im going to use it to get to work but also turn it into a road legal track car! my aim is 710kg and 140bhp all out of the 1.3 16v GTi engine Swift GTi Got a few basic plans to start with... Put the number plate back where it should be. Strip it out!

dibbleyuk
will do, whats the spec of these as standard? 0-100 1/4 mile? 101bhp - 0-60 - 8.2 Jap ones are 115bhp Had to get another one! If i get the weight down to 710kg and tune it to 140bhp it should been pretty quick 1/4 for what it is!
slow_matt
That is the aim for my 205, gonna be a lot of work! So far it's getting fibre glass boot+bonnet, polycarb windows, no dashboard except some dials, no interior trim and one seat. Also relocating as much as possible to where the passenger seat should be. Weight is hard to remove from an already light weight car. Though it's heart breaking filling it back up again with roll cage! Keep us updated!
adam bell
i had one of these about 9 years ago now it was the one of the best cars i had. never went wrong and you could rev the arse off it with no problems and it kept up with a few fast cars as well. until the day a french person wrote it off for me how nice. Flip
I had a red Swift GTI about 6 years ago - I loved it! I was very tempted to go down the turbo route with it... I'd have another one - it may have been a noisy tinny thing, but it was so much fun, and still did mid 30's to the gallon!!

Gord R
Quality little cars , my old man had one when they first came out. Cracking little thing. Know a few guys in the hillclimb scene use them and do really well.
