DannyB
Right well one of my mates is truely being a bellend and is telling me that when his Girlfriend gets her new car (clio 197) that itll keep up with and maybe beat my car in a dual. Load of tosh id say, im sure they will handle well but surely the Supra will be alot better off then that little french shite box? Really has touched a nerve here! I said shut up and ill see you at The Ring next year. TT 6 speed by the way
adam bell
i have just sold my 172 cup they are slow as fuck. i had an evo 5 before that was running 330 bhp,i only had the clio for 2 months lol now i have a uk tt bpu and that would kill my old evo from 80 mph onwards. jamesmark
i have just sold my 172 cup they are slow as fuck. Is that the new technical speak? to pointlessly swear for no reason when describing something. And a 197 would have no chance.
hoff
I dont know anything about the clio, but at a guess id say he's talking out of his arse. You're his friend, you must tell him he's taking far to many drugs:p

hoff
Pretty good 0-62. About on par with an auto NA i think. A TT should destroy it though surely?
colsoop
There was a stripped out one at shakespeare that ran 13.8 seconds. I expect it will handle better than the Supra with average drivers behind the wheel
hoff
Good point Col, but id still back a TT on track.

colsoop
Good point Col, but id still back a TT on track. I think it would depend on the track

Dave
looks like another embarassing defeat for the french by the time the supe gets to 60 hes already 2 secs ahead 0-60 of a bpu got to be low 5s or high 4s ???

DannyB
lol was just worried about them under estimating the supra! OR has it got to that point already that Smaller cars are starting to get the better of tus??!!
slow_matt
My mates got a 172 cup and I think it's ace, would consider one if they looked a bit more soop like. Cost vs perceived performance untouchable in my opinion!

Kopite
Am i reading this right.... a Clio 197 giving a Supra a run for it's money?!
Homer
If it's traffic light grad-prix then there may not be a lot in it if you have a stock TT, if you're below 50mph. If it's on an A or B road then it will be game over for the Clio, at almost any speed. The auto's (and to some respect, the manuals) will suffer at the very low speeds due to the high gearing - they are geared for a theoretical 200mph in top gear ....well 198mph in the 6spd, 212mph in the jspec auto. mikeyb10supra
If your not bpu I think he'll be closer behind you than you think I agree, I had a funny old run with one a while back and it suprised me
