Pete
I think the phrase is "one FELL swoop" LOL - but I know what you mean. - with a single effort; all at once A swoop is a sudden descent, like the pouncing of a bird of prey on its victim. Fell is an old adjective meaning 'savage', which comes from an Old French word fel, meaning 'grim, merciless or terrible', which still exists in felon and its related forms felony and felonious. The whole expression is from Shakespeare: Macduff, struggling to come to terms with the murder of his children and wife on the orders of the 'hell-kite' Macbeth, cries 'What, all my pretty chickens and their dam/At one fell swoop?' (Macbeth, IV, 3, lines 218-9). In modern use the expression does not generally carry this sense of savagery, though it sometimes does. Bit of culture for a Friday afternoon. Bill Prawn
Am I missing something? It's just a couple of stickers. They may not be to everyones taste but they ain't that bad, are they? I've seen a damn sight worse. These things are all a matter of taste, such as dragons, orange dashes, gold engines and neons.

I thought a swoop was found on prison excersise yards 'swooping' in to pick up fags butts !!!! A fell swoop would be on who tripped over !!!
