Supra-Brett
Hi all, my windscreen washers are crap. Ive had them blown through with air to make sure its not grit in the lines but their still crap. Any ideas what it could be ? (I dont just want to assume that its the washer fluid pump.) If its likley to be the pump, where can i get one from and roughly how much would it cost ?

Supra-Brett
Ok so weve had loads of obvious stuff and jokes, but any ideas on price qand where i can get one. The motor is working as water just dribbles out but no pressure.
colsoop
Have you tried pusing a pin down the ends of the nozzles. I know when waxing my car i sometimes get it caked in the holes and it dribbles the water out.

The motor is working as water just dribbles out but no pressure. You could expose the pump and take the hoses off, see if there is any pressure straight out of it. If there is, it's a hose blockage. If there isn't, it's the pump or possibly it's pickup is blocked. Pull it out, clean it, try again, if all else fails, drop Jezz a line for a breakers one, should do the job just fine And put the hoses back on the right way around, unlike someone's in this thread -Ian

Well ive still not managed to sort mine out. With work, the kids and the crappy weather, ive just not had chance to even look at it (although i did manage to replace my boot rubbers the other week as the rattle (which is still there) was driving me mad. So thats 2 things i still need to sort -no 3, cos i still havent fitted the new electric mirror switch. Maybe this weekend.
