ManwithSupra
I need a bit of help regarding two area's i am bpu @1.2 bar and i want to keep an eye on these things as i have heard horror stories etc. AFR I want to measure AFR but not sure what i need to get etc, will i need to buy a wideband o2 sensor for AFR will it work with the stock ecu? - basicly what equipment do i need for this. EGT Again similar to the above what do i need to get? also what is the nominal value for EGT? also where would i position the sensor and is it a case of drilling into manifolds etc?? Sorry i am not 100% clued up on these two.
gaz1
a wideband is a good thing to have on bpu, egt gauge a little over the top i would think, as the twins don,t generate the heat of a single;)

Steve
Ok cool, thanks for that, So what will i need to monitor AFR? and will the stock ecu be able to still work with a wideband? You will need something like one of these to do this. You will also need to get a bung welded onto your decat pipe for this to screw into (unless its already there with a bolt blocking it). This will not be wired into the stock ECU so you will need to keep the stock narrowband sensor. This will just be a standalone device. Guest mugg
Inovative Lc1 X16 set up or the LM1 , that is the wideband and gauge all in one kit . You run your wideband as a stand alone not to replace your stock 02 sensor ......it can replace your stock one with recalibration .... but why bother unless your stock is stuffed .With that you have a chance to mis calibrate and that can lead to disaster . Just place the correct 02 bung to suit the LC1/LM1 sensor appoximatley 6'' 150 past your stock 02 , which would place it in the start or your midpipe ..hook it up as instructed , mount your gauge were you want and bingo ....AFR'S Monitored. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTS.php http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lm1.php You will probably see its running rich all over , with a small lean section on the pick up of the #2 turbo around the 4k rpm range . The EGT is really not required .
