Paul
Hi all, I've spent loads of time sorting out stuff I should have done long ago, rear pads, oil change, filter change (got the bruises on my arm to prove it!) and finally painted up the calipers after buying the paint over a year ago. Well, I'm well chuffed with the difference all this has made, but still a little worried about a slight leak under what seems to be the gearbox area. It's 'damp' with oil around the rectangular bit with cooling 'fins'. Is there any history of leaks on the gearbox (common??). Oh BTW, the filter change really is a f*cker but now I've done it once I'm confident I'll be OK doing it again! good tip I read on here about getting to it from above with the power steering res. removed. And those bloody pins in the brake calipers, two hours with a pin punch and hide mallet ! I even had to use an angle grinder to cut one down as I had flared the end. Now put new ones in with plenty of copper grease and will check regularly. Any advice on the gearbox oil situation will be appreciated. Cheers, Paul.
