I'm a tree surgeon (climber) and its great most of the time but its when i'm hanging on for dear life up a 60ft tree being swung about in a gale with rain beating down at you and i'm thinking " this is sooooo not worth it!!!" apart from that its good money and keeps me fit and outdoors :)

I normally love my job, but due to the "credit crunch" the company i work for is getting pummled at the moment, which has resulted in a 20% reduction in our hours and pay.

As i work in marketing as a graphic designer were working really hard with campigns and the like, so loads of work/less time/less pay.

So at the moment, it pays the bills, but only just!

However - having fridays off is quite nice :D

Im a machine operator for a pharmicutical company, neither love it or hate it, pays the bills. ALL the management are a bunch of f@*K wits only doing the things that make them look good, too many promises and not enougth action.

Though the people i work with are ace.

I design and style consumer products and now twenty five years in. My company has worked on some great projects and for some fantastic clients but today it seems like it pays the bills because I want to go out on the boat but am stuck in work. Yesterday it was the best job in the world after a fantastic presentation and great comments from a client but Monday might bring problems from anyone of our suppliers around the world and keep me awake all night.

Own my IT Consultancy. Good pay, but lots of travel. Fairly high stress levels.

We've got clients all around northern Europle and therefore I can't really plan evenings in advance, as I don't know whether I'll be in Norway or Northampton, Home or Rome.

It sounds a lot more glamorous than it actually is - I do enjoy the diversity of the clients, but I would prefer more time at home.
