Hks To4r

If you want a quick spooling turbo, then i would advise a gt35r i have been in an auto with .68 a/r and a 6 speed with .82 a/r, both spool much quicker than the T04R.

I am currenlty trying to decide whether to buy a gt35r or t61 or put a 3800 hi stall on my box.

I swapped a HKS T04 R with a 0.96 a/r exhaust housing for a BL dbb T67. The turbo itself is obviously the same size as I used both the inlet and exhaust housing from the HKS one for the BL one. It may be just my imagination and it may be because the bearing was on its way out but the new turbo seems to spool quite a bit quicker than the old one did. For what its worth if you can get the HKS unit as a a DBB then do that especially if you have lag concerns. PS this is with an aristo thats obviously alot closer auto box behaviour to your soarer than a mk4 supe is.

Thanks for all the replies, I am waiting to get some flow charts for my hybrids, and then will deciede if I need to go single, or can get more out of what I have. The car comes off the road at the end of the month, so time to strip down and change a few things :D
