RedM
It's been a lot cooler for the last couple of weeks and, aside from one journey, I appear to be using a tad more fuel even though I'm driving more gently. Does having the heater, demister and light on in the morning contribute to fuel consumption?
RobSheffield
You would think it would be offset by the aircon in summer

Ric
more power used = more power drained from the engine... ish The demister and lights etc as well as the heaters, not usually on in the summer

erol_h
seeing you mentioned the demister does anyone else's demister work very slowly. I used to have a fiesta that would clear the rear window in bout 5 or 6mins. I start the sup drive it for 20mins and it doesnt clean the window properly. erol_h
if i remember from school the colder the temperature the more oxygen atoms you will have in a contained area which means it will use more fuel to balance the mixture.

miko_supra
as the air is denser, can the engine sense this? and then put more fuel in
