Guest mattsupra
so why dont they pay out if its immobilised and the alarm is still activated and the doors are still locked? never heard of this one before surely if this was the case then clifford and other brand wouldnt be allowed to sell them as a thatcham approved alarm then? matt
AdzC
Intellistart isn't approved by Thatcham which is why they are an optional extra and not 'standard' with the alarm. From what I understand it apparently compromises the integity of the Thatcham category.
drnas78
The Intellistart can avoid the Thathem approve dbit howver most installers will give you the certficate to send to your insurnace with out a problem, you just dont mention that it has the facility.. Ive got 950 basically when car is running using remote start you cant open the doors as still locked unless you do it your self with fob, if it is broken in to soon as they press accel or brake pad car will clunk out, very handy system in the cold weather... RiceRocket
The engine also shuts down if the car is broken into while alarmed.
