Guest philipo
hi guys, just wanted to say hello.. currrently in the info gathering stage of the car buying process.. got my heart set on a supra, i worked at max power as my first job so i have ran a R33 skyline and an impreza wrx sti -type ra (what a car), so love the jap car, currently tourturing myself with a pug 306 D-turbo.. fair enough its cheap to run, but good god its soul destroying. i have got 11 points on my license that i need to declare to the insures, only 5 actually on my license, so i think im going to be going for the NA verison- esp as i live in central london the insurance is going to kill me.. i have printed the guides off to read on the tube home- (luckily wont need to commute in the car), but will no doubt be badgering you with questions over the next few months.. i have narrowed it down to NA aero, black red or silver, thats about all, pretty standard looking.. as i may see if my old colleagues at evo can sort me out with some kit.. is it a big deal to get an import or should i not worry, is insurance going to be massivley different. .im 26, 5yrs ncb, live in north london. thanks alot Phil
Marty
If you wanted a Na then you have no choice but to get an import. But, you'd probably find the insurance on a NA is pretty much the same as on a TT. The uk specs are usually the cheapest to insure. Thats what i found anyway. I was ppaying a lot less than £500 fully comp protected at 24 for a uk spec twin turbo manual.
