michael
This type of thing confuses me, so we pay £x for your holiday and then everything above that goes to the charity? Why not do without the fun in the snow and donate that money too?

Guest Nicholas
This type of thing confuses me, so we pay £x for your holiday and then everything above that goes to the charity? Why not do without the fun in the snow and donate that money too? Sorry but I agree with the above. If I make a donation it will be directly to the charity involved. michael
Why bother putting things like that up..if your not interested ..fine, but please your not in my shoes are you? Perhaps I asked so you could clarify things? Usually when people pop something like this up I donate but usually they are just collecting donations for the charity. Is the idea that you get a break from being a carer and then the rest goes to charity? I'm not being difficult, I'm asking because I'm interested. Gamer
All monies raised should go to the charity, not be spent on an adventure holiday for the fund rasier. Sorry but who ever thought up this little scheme was smoking dope. Taken from the MS Trust Fundrasing 'Raising sponsorship' info page. The trick is not to appear greedy, just impassioned. Trick indeed.

Iam not needing a rest from being a carer, she has a job and so do i, MS sufferers can be hit at any-time and this is when you have problems its a Neurological disease which affects the brain..some of the Problems you have are loss of sight, speech, numbness in limbs, incontinence but to name a few sometimes these go back to normal after a spell in hospital but this might take months and sometimes it wont come back as some sufferers go in a gradual decline, but the lucky ones have this just once in a while and normally suffer one or two of the symptoms constantly and have to live with it…most people wouldn't have a clue and would say" god you’re a clumsy aren't you!" Well i wont go on...iam not looking at it as a holiday as i have my own goal too as i tore my cruciate ligament last year and havent boarded since. Ewen
We give quite a bit to various charities, but this event is only giving 45p in every pound raised to the actual charity. Out of the £2,700 you have to raise by Jan, Event Organisers get almost £1500, charity gets around £1200 and you yourself have to pay them £250 for admin fees up front. I know its a sensitive subject, but in this case I'm sorry, I'd rather give direct at 100%.

Ok i need to clear things up iam going to put in the £1400 b4 i go so this is to cover the trip and the rest is 100% donation... Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: MS Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. http://www.justgiving.com/adrianvoyce Please every little helps...
