ads274
When i start my car up in the morning (or 8 hours or so after using it last) the car idles at around 1700-1800rpm (depending on how cold it is, colder = more towards 1800 etc.) Seems a bit high to me but it's done it since i've had it which is over 6 months. I used to have a celica GT4 and that idled at 1600rpm on cold startup and did so for the year that i had it so didnt really think much of it. But i was talking about it with someone today and they seem amazed that it was so high at startup. Is it anything to worry about? Is there a fundamental issue that should be resolved? The rpm gradually falls for the next 5 mins or so at which point the idle seems to be around 650-700rpm when fully warmed up. Car is TT if that should make a difference, thanks in advance for any advice.
