lui
One for all you technical bods out there Recently about 6 months ago my Slip control light started flashing. Due to this now lost manual button feature on auto box. Was always perfect till then. With me being perfect I like to have all functions + switches working on my car. Done fault code test & showing 41 & 47 which indicates problem to throttle position sensor but does not state how to cure it. Any body out there know how to rectify these two codes listed above as it tells you what the problem is but not how to cure it ??? Do you just fit a new throttle position sensor in place of old one ??? Help please
mr lover
doesn't the fitting of RLTC cause this ?
lui
doesn't the fitting of RLTC cause this ? Does not I'm afraid had my RTLC fitted over 1.5 years ago & all working fine till dragonball 07 this year when it started to play up with Slip Control light flashing till then all was working perfect with manual button on gearbox working fine as it should. Ian C
I had this back in the dim and distant past back when the trac ecu wasn't on the shelf in the garage, and the only way I found to stop it was to tweak the position of the sub throttle sensor until it stopped. However it would take two starts of the car to check, the first time it flashes the light regardless - I think it's a self-calibration followed by a pouting hissy fit as it finds something has changed I could hear the trac butterfly stepper motor run through it's range at key on or off (can't recall exactly). -Ian
Paul Whiffin
Sounds like what Ian said to me, try moving the sub tps and see if it cures it, first thing I would do.
Guest mugg
Have you adjusted your throttle stop from its original position , as in have you tried to raise or lower your idle..........It is related to TPS and Sub TPS 100%....as stated by Paul Whiffin . lui
Slip control light still flashing need to cure it as I lose manual mode on auto gear box Strange thing is though this what happens from starting car from cold all is fine I can press to slip control button to off & slip control light on dash says on like it should & after about five-ten miles driving it will start flashing again & stay flashing which means I lose my manual mode on auto box. When engine off & left car for hour or two all OK till about 5-10 miles then flashing starts again. Is there a way to cure this ??? or disconnect it with manual mode on gear box still working as I have race logic traction control fitted & don't need stock traction control + also want my manual mode on gear box still to work this happening is starting to really annoy me & could not do full proper rolling road yesterday as could not lock into third gear making my results on torque under what it should be Edited November 19, 2008 by lui (see edit history)
Wez
Does the TT use the same autobox as the NA? If so then I see no reason why it cant be made to work without the stock TC as the NA doesnt have TC
