RedM
(insert as many swears as you like. They won't be anywhere near adequate!) Slipped on a wet surface in Leeds on Sunday. Despite seeing the warning signs! What a nugget! Seem to have wrenched my back when I grabbed a railing to stop myself falling. Entire lumber region feels locked solid. It's only bearable when standing upright but still or lying down and still. I can't bend enough to get dressed properly (can't get socks or shoes on) and I can't even get the milk out of the fridge for some tea! To cap it all whatever I have done is causing my Sciatic nerve to give me grief too. Going to take some anti-inflammatory tablets and see if I can get in to see a sports injury friend of mine when he's done for the day. Can't see how I'm going to get into the car though! garetheves
Start some gentle back movements. Some basic ones are: 1. Lie on your back with knees bent, feet on floor and gently rock your knees from side to side, gradually getting closer to the floor. 2. Same position as above but hug 1 knee at a time to yoru chest. 3. Standing, gently arch your back backwards so youre looking at the ceiling. You need to get it moving, keeping it still and stiff is the worst thing you can do. Also get a hot water bottle or heat pack on it ASAP and deffinately before the exercises. I already do 1 and 2 every morning due to old injury. About to have hot bath and then spray some heat treatment on it.
RedM
I've now sprayed too much heat treatment on and I think I'm on fire!

Not good, sprayed my balls with some of that stuff before (makes excuse about overspray on a thigh injury??.....no!) I was just curious how it would feel on my balls!! H.
