Yes Ian C glad you can join us between dishing up the fry’s and serving the burgers do you have four stars on your badge now…. Can I have a Mc shake with mine….

Les is not going away from normal cars to specialise on Japs or Supras, he is offering a service to all, possibly not aimed the my cars got more BHP than yours brigade anyway, Because lets face it its 15 year old design anyway….. (uzthedentist words not mine)

In the same way you hounded Thor !!!! You are now hounding JDP. And it’s the same names with the same view points…..

At the end of the day, the main point of contention is the TF guys, should they never work again, ???? do you believe they should bring back public hanging…. there is no way that Les would allow bad workmanship to leave his premises, any more than that and you don’t have a concern…….. So I really do not understand any of your issues.

If you have a problem with TF, take it up with TF not JDP because they are not the same, never have been and never will be. Are you hounding Knight Racer, in the same building…… No !!!! is it that because they pay you money also……… but they came from the TF building and now they are in the JDP building….. Should they not be burnt at the stake…. Why stop there… I hear there is fast food van that used to sell sandwiches to TF at lunch time, maybe you should have a go at them also after all they fed them and allowed them to carry on working…. ….. You really are pathetic

For the record the topic title should be

“Complaints by JDP” not “Complaints Regarding JDP”

Because there are not any complaints about JDP………..

I can’t be arsed with you anymore……stick to your little click of wanabees

The thread title has been changed, to avoid any confusion.

The only person I see here trying to stoke the fire, however is you, and my tolerance for you is beginning to wear thin.

So that you understand exactly what this thread is about and so that there is no misunderstanding, this thread was posted for the purpose of reminding members not to post anything inflammatory, libellous or potentially damaging to a third party following a complaint received from Les Cox of JDP Performance. There has been a dialogue between myself and Les Cox regarding the nature of his complaint, and we are still awaiting to hear from him which specific posts he wishes to complain about. We have, been more than willing and reasonable to discuss this matter with him, but to date, he has still not responded to my pm.

What this has to do with you is beyond me. It seems to me that your only purpose by joining this forum was an attempt to big up JDP.

We have no issue with JDP per se apart from the fact that he has requested us to remove all trace of references to JDP from this forum, which we will not do, nor will we be threatened with legal action into doing so either. I won't post up what he exactly said in his PM to the moderators, but it was something along the lines of "if you don't remove all reference to JDP from this forum with immediate effect the I will have no option but to start legal proceeding against you".

We have requested on several occasions both publicly and by PM for him to specify which posts he feels are inflammatory, libellous or potentially damaging to a third party, and until he does so, then nothing will be removed. We have no obligation to do so, and it is unreasonable for him to request us to remove everything to do with JDP from this forum.

So unless you have anything else constructive to add to this forum then your time here will be very very limited. And if you attempt to login again using a different username then we will block your IP and that might have affect some of the businesses that you refer to in your post above gaining access to the forum. I expect you wouldn't want that to happen would you?

At the end of the day, the main point of contention is the TF guys, should they never work again, ????

Firstly i wanna say that im not going to rip your company like some others have, i dont know enough about you / Les or JDP's history to do that, what i do know is ive had work done by Turbofit, and JDP now employ the ex turbofit staff. Gregg, Sam and the rest are really nice people, but their workmanship is questionable (i know first hand to my dismay).

Of course they should be allowed to work again, just not in the tunning world, they have made their bed and need to move on. Even if you think they are good mechanics, taking on people with such a bad rep is bad news for business. thats a price you seem to be paying highly for at the moment..

Having said this, all in all, its my suspicision that whoever owns JDP is in partnership with Gregg, i cant believe hes now jsut an employee... thats why all the turbofit staff work there, and thats why you cant just get rid of them. A sort of secret merger... now theres a conspiracy theory!

Bullet connectors are not very good also some are only secured with electrical tape by the looks of it.

Bingo. ECU's and connectors that can EASILY come apart when you're driving. Brilliant idea...not.

Every ecu wire should be soldered and shrink wrapped or use motorsport quality connectors that LOCK together.

I dont think you can tell that from the picture, unless you know first hand of course

All the black bits are electrical tape, there is loads of it used in that pic mate. They could be soldered under there but I doubt it and even if they are they should be shrink wrapped like Alex says.

Read the first post of this thread, after which, you may wish to edit your post to comply. Thanks

they surely cannot be that bad :rolleyes:as we did have a popular member start a new big them up thread not so long ago:rolleyes: if jdp have been a good garage and this les guy is the sort of chap that would not let bad workmanship leave his garage, then i feel sorry for him, as sometimes we believe bullshit and he might have been had too

thank you for bringing that to my attention, I may need to extend my scope on this if it does go legal.

I would have thought Les would be very very pleased with you right now. This thread is now right at the top of the google searches and every time you post you are continuing to bring the thread back to the top and get it noticed again and again and again.

Les has gone quiet on this, I can only assume thats because he wants it to die down but with you being so helpful towards his cause you are actually making the situation far worse than you could possibly imagine, and having brought Knightracer in to this you have also made the situation difficult for them.

Your best bet is to go very quiet on this and never darken our doors again, but its your choice and you need to think through what implications this has for Les and his business.

We have explained to Les what he needs to do in order for us to tidy up the situation. Every day he leaves it and every time you post the visibility on this gets higher.

bump - oh sorry wrong thread :p

TF are famous for just twisting wires together and then wrapping them in tape.

Matt Harwood has had to pull (not that hard) apart hundreds of these connections and solder them properly.

pretty sure that is what they did with my fuel pump, which is why I got stranded on the M25 and had to get the car transported, in order to get fixed.

:rlol: Ooooh I missed this little strop! Bless :dummy:

Let me just run this through Babelfish's "Retard -> English" filter:

"Yes, Ian C, I'm glad you could join us - between dishing up the fries and serving the burgers. Do you have four stars on your badge now..? Can I have a McShake with mine..?"

Oh dear, most of your illiterate scrawl corrected by me. Not good form for someone implying that I work at a popular fast food outlet and by subtext, implying that I'm a bit thick and rather a low achiever. So, hmm, let me think, that means by your own admission that you're even thicker than the average McDonalds employee? Is that what you are indicating? Well no need to fret, that's plainly apparent my dear chap, plainly apparent indeed ;)

Is this a step up or down from "forklift driver" one wonders

Whoops, bumped again thanks to hi viz, champion of tat sparkplugs across England.

-Ian

PS extra kudos for reading the title of the thread wrong, that's priceless ;)

i have had cars worked on by jdp and never had any problems how many of YOU have actually had your cars worked on by jdp i joined this forum when i bought my supra thinking it was a club its not its a WITCH hunt and after hearing people slag each others car off at the show the weekend its something i wouldnt want to be part off i am strongly dissapointed with this you want to look at some of your other traders as one in particular NO names used to deal in minis in the early 90s and ripped off people with alot less budget but you dont hear about them???

I think you are out of order just joining up to defend a an UN-Authorised trader on here with your first posts ,but part of your post is true about the mini's, i got stung. and hence i would never use that trader again but neither would i slag him off on here as that was years ago. And as for JDP i am gonna give them a go in the next month with a car of mine.

can we just let this die now please folks. Its been done to death and gone on longer than expected, so if we can leave it for now.

Les has not replied to our requests to highlight problem posts and has talked to hi viz and asked them to leave it so I believe he is done with this now.

thanks

I've had sub-standard work done by JDP. In fact, I believe it was done by Les himself. Which he let out of his workshop. In fact he delivered it himself.

Does that count?

hello tony is that the best you can do?

i would like to know the reg of your car so i can run it through our database, firstly i dont work on cars its the good bit about owning your own company i oversee everthing people who work for me do,

secondly i do not collect or deliver cars myself

and last but not least everything comes with a 12 month warranty,(i didnt get a call from 01908-217555 8am to 5pm monday to friday 8am to 1 pm on saturdays

Hello,

You did an MOT for me when I took my car to Turbofit.

Basically, Turbofit were going to fit an exhaust and then do an MOT.

As they were busy trying to put right Jamie P's car, they gave the car for you to MOT first. Not quite sure how they thought it would go through the emissions with a rotten exhaust on, but hey....

The exhaust they were going to fit was in the boot. You took it upon yourself to fit it for them, as they were busy. However rather than use the HKS gaskets that were supplied in the bag directly underneath the exhaust you fitted, you *made* your own. These blew. Also there was a rubber hanger missing, which meant the exhaust hung to one side of the cut out on the rear bumper, which has scorched the paintwork now.

However that aside, whilst you were working at Leon's between the three of you working there, you did my gearbox conversion. If I'd have known that it was you that was going to do my MOT, then I'd have run a mile.

I thought I recognised you when you dropped the car back to turbofit after doing the MOT, but I wasn't sure where I'd seen your face. I think you recognised the work you'd done on my car before, because you came in asking who the car belonged to, to which Greg said it was mine (I was stood next to him at the time) at which point you went strangely quiet, and then went on to explain that you'd "fitted" the exhaust.

I don't have a receipt from JDP, as I paid Turbofit. But even if I did, I think I'll pass on having any "warranty" work done.

I don't know what phone number that is you've got, but it's certainly not mine, but as I say, if it were, I wouldn't hold my breath to receive a call from it.
