Thorin
I finished HL1, and played CS far too much. I've still never played HL2 or any of the Source/addon stuff though so will have to purchase it at some point. I don't play games much these days though and I've recently got Bioshock and Fable:Lost Chapters to play so it'll have to wait

Do it now. -Ian PS actually if you play through EP0, 1, and 2 of HL2 and then try Bioshock you'll cry so maybe get it out the way first
Homer
Ep2 is turning out rather good, very impressed with it! Totally agree with what Ian posted earlier, HL2 has everything and really sets the standard.
Ric
Ep2, completed, i have to say, very good but disappointed with the length of it only took 2 days (3hrs) i hope its not like another year and a half wait now for the final ep3
Ian C
3 hours, mmmhmmm, yep, mmmm. That's plausible Maybe 6 eh? 5 at a push? Why do people say stuff like that, someone said it about bioshock as well, some implausible completion time like they think they are gaming heroes or something I just don't get it. Winds me up. I always take the time to enjoy the game and look around and pay attention to the plot and the small touches that make it so good, so I get the most out of it. Not stick it on easy, put a paperweight on the W key, and half-watch Big Brother on the telly. Or maybe my computer runs the games slower than everyone else, maybe that's it. -Ian
Ric
What? It took me 3 hrs, 1.5 hrs both days and im saying it because its true? and i did look around and take heed to the plot. I dont think i mentioned i was a "gaming hero" either
b_have
Think its Ians mechanical sympothy (for the keyboard) Mind you, took me about 3 weeks to finish HL2, mostly on the last bit on the tower
robin
I only took maybe 4-5 hours to do it on hard. I think part of it is that in anticipation of episode 2 coming out I replayed both HL2 and episode 1 on hard over the last couple of days so I was on top form etc and knew the weapons, controls inside out. I think if you jumped straight into episode 2 having not payed the others for months and months it would take a little longer.
Pixelfill
Can anyone explain to me why Steam won't let me buy the Orange box This subscription is not available for purchase in your country I can't buy the Episode 2 standalone for $29.95 I can't buy the Orange box for $49.95 I could buy the Valve premier pack at $79.95 but as I already own: Halflife: (boxed GOTY edition and Source) Halflife: Blueshift (boxed and Source) Opposing Force Counter-strike: Source Halflife 2 Halflife 2: Deathmatch Halflife 2: Episode 1 Halflife 2: Lost Coast Team Fortress Classic I'm bolloxed if I'm buying them again Mike
Ian C
Well, gee, what's your country set to in your steam account? Did you set it to Azerbijan as a comedy joke...?
Angarak
I got HL2:ET free with my graphics card (same with HL2:EO) and I think it is a great game, but ET seems a lot shorter than EO. Only took me a couple days to finish, and Im deffo no gaming god I did find an easter egg though - a garden gnome!
Pixelfill
Well, gee, what's your country set to in your steam account? Did you set it to Azerbijan as a comedy joke...? LOL: No - I managed to buy it eventually but I don't know how - I couldn't even find a country setting in the control panel. According to the Help regarding my error message Halflife 2: Episode Two isn't one of the titles that are region limited I guess they were just having problems with their web store at the time Mike
Jezz
Only just got round to actually playing (and completing!!) this. Throughout the passage ways, forests and buildings etc, I found myself mostly zooming onto one particular thing....... .....Alyx's arse!!!! So I googled the actress. http://www.blackwood-steele.com/R&L%20Feb%2099/R%20&L%20%20Ethnic%20draw/women/BlackWomen/Jamil%20Giovanni%20Mullen%20comp.jpg
