Guest mk47
im just about to fit some facelift front indicators, just wondering as these have sidelights in them too, how does this work with pre facelift lights? is there any way of wiring in the sidelights into them or is it best to leave them in headlamps. You can do it a number of ways: 1) Keep the sidelights in the pre-facelift headlight and have both the bulbs in the facelift indicators as indicator bulbs. 2) Keep the sidelights in the pre-facelift headlight and have an additional set of side lights in the new facelift indicator cluster. (i.e. 4 sidelights (2 each side)). 3) Disconnect the sidelights from the pre-facelift headlight, put them into the new facelift indicator cluster. I went for option 1 because it was the easiest to do, and the indicators also have a "back-up" bulb in case one of the main indicator bulbs blows. NeoFuture
i would go for option 2 and have the second set switchable on a toggle so you can pick which sidelights to use
colsoop
When i had them fitted (removed now) i wired the little sidelights as a fog light. they are a perfect height for that job showing the edges of kerbs which helps a lot in poor visibility
