mkirby
Sorry to keep asking questions The car at certain revs has a rattling noise so jacked it up yesterday to listen when i noticed that there was exhaust fumes coming from halfway down the exhaust so i gets further under to investigate to find that the titanium exhaust runs from the backbox then all the way to about 2/3 way dow the cat then goes into the other system but the titanium pipe sleeves over the other and is not connected so hence at a certain rev it moves slightly and touched the other bit and also lets exhaust gas's out? why would this be is there a reason why it would have been done? i wouldnt have thought that whoever made the titanium exhaust made it all with near perfect welds and really is a piece of art then thought sod it cant be arsed fitting it to the other?? but also cant think of anything else and i'm sure it wont pass an MOT like that. Cheers guys Mike
merckx
Might have assemled it on the car first to check the fit, got distracted and just forgot about the clamp or weld.
