1.5bar???? Thats a bit too high if its on standard jap tubbies! If thats on standard ceramic jap turbos i'd be getting that back down to 1.2bar sharpish by turning down your boost controller if you have one.

Standard I think they are about 0.8Bar but I bought mine running 1.0 bar so unsure.

I know the UK spec/Hybrid turbos can be pushed up to 1.4bar, but 1.5 might even be a stretch for them!

Oh and WELCOME :D

Im not sure what all it has done to it :search: as fars as i know the cars just got a few mods on it. but it does have a big HKS front mounted intercooler if that means anything? is there anyway of finding out what all has been done to the car? as ive said im new to the cars and am not sure what is standard and whats not.

i have a j-spec, when i disconnected my boost controller, my car on standard boost made between 0.8 -0.85 bar. If your turbos are j spec ceramics, then you are in a dangerous area, where you could have severe component failure.

As was said, if you are running a boost controller, turn it down sharpish, if you have not got one, i'd start with checking for loose/unconnected boost hoses. And check to see you have a restrictor ring fitted in your downpipe

And for god's sake dont put your foot down, it'll cost alot if summat goes wrong

I'm guessing the car is fully de-cat'd if so you need a restrictor ring to limit the flow so you can run a safe 1-1.1 bar.

PM chris wilson he sells them. Your turbos wont last long at 1.5 bar.

Nope my car doesnt hava de-cat. Will b wanting to get one soon tho, and will see if the rings in or not. (if anyone knows a good place i could get one?) Had a pal of mine around to have a look at it. (as he works for a jap import company) He has found a stand alone ecu, the fuel pressure has been bumped up with bigger injects. There is also a bigger inlet manifold and he thinks there are bigger turbos in it to with a front mounted intercooler. All this is HKS stuff. Would this make the turbo pressure to high? Was wondering if anyone would have a rough estimate of what the BHP would be with all that? Want to get it rolling roaded asap.

Thanks for all the help folks. ;)
